Watch out for the latter and always read the small print of any offer you choose to accept.

Many companies that offer free trials will use an auto-ship program which means that you will automatically be billed and then shipped the product every month until you cancel it. Understand whether or not this is the case up front so that you are not stuck purchasing a product that you don’t want or a billing situation that is not conducive to you.
